Red Bull Flugtag 2009

The Biggest Red Bull French event of the year hapenned last week end in Marseille! It was called the Flugtag (literraly "flying day")
What's that? 38 teams of 5 peoples: 38Homemade "U.F.O's", a 6meters high ramp, 50 000 spectators, Hundreds of Red Bull sampling girls (Oh my eyes)... and a bunch of fun! The Goal? Trying to fly as far as you can, and make the judges laughing!
It was sooo funny to see thoses UFO's crashing in the water of "la plage du Prado".
Judges were a bunch of french celebrities (TV, Cinema, Music) and Red Bull athletes (Including me). It turned out a team from Marseille won with a 23 meters flight! awesome!!
At night I went to a big electro Rock festival and I saw Etienne de Crécy in Live which was the craziest thing I ever witnessed! Crazy light structure, bangers tune... What a night!
Big props to Red Bull for this crazy week end! Peace!

Le plus gros événement de Red Bull en France s'est passé ce week end à Marseille! c'était le Flugtag (litteralement "jour de vol") et j'y étais!
Qu'est ce que c'est ? 38 Team de 5 fou: 38 "OVNI" fait main par les candidats, une rampe de 6m pour s'envoyer en l'air, 50 000 spectateurs, des centaines de Sampling girls Red Bull (Aie mes yeux).. et bien sur du fun! le but du jeu? Voler le plus loin possible et surtout faire rigoler le jury.
Le jury d'ailleurs était composé de célébrités Française (Patrice Carmouze, Luc Alphand, Laure Manaudou, Severine Ferrer, Frederic Michalak et j'en passe...) et des Athlete Red Bull (dont moi). Je me suis retrouvée donc à juger au côté de Luc Alphand (qui est sur-cool), Laure Manaudou la nageuse, et un acteur dont le nom m'echappe...
C'est finalement la team de Maseille (Savonus VS Verrus) qui l'emporte avec une très belle chorégraphie et un vol de 23 mètre! Bravo!
La soirée était bien folle, je suis allé au Marsatac (festival de Rock-electro) ou j'ai vu Etienne de Crécy en Live! c'est un des trucs les plus dingue que j'ai vu. Une structure carré toute en lumière, du trop bon son... Paaf!

NORA CUP!

Alex Jumelin called me this morning to tell me I won the NORA cup 2009 (BMX Flat)! Pretty good way to wake up! Unfortuntely I couldn't make it to Vegas this year... I feel really sorry for this but as Alex told me "You'll go there when you'll have the proper age" ahaha so, Thanks for everyone who voted for me and Stay FIT!

Carhartt Field Control

I just landed in my apartment after a whole day flying, but definitely pretty stoked on my week end!
I arrived in Faro airport Friday late in the afternoon along with Lionel Cardoso and Maelle his wife. I met Adam at the airport and Valter Gueirrerro the event organiser took us to Portimao.
We had a cool night session with few pro riders like Michi Sommer, Seppl, Adam... It's always cool to ride with your friend. The spot is always fucking awesome, A huge covered OSB Spot, lightened, stairs for the crowd, good presentation, The Field cvontrol Crew knows what's up.
The following morning we went to the beach with Tom from Sevisual, Michael and Adam to have an english breakfast (shout out Effraim) and went chill to the beach. Then it was qualification late in the afternoon. There was a pretty good turnout of pro this year and the level was pretty high. Only 8 dude was taken to the sunday final so everybody gave his best. I won the qualification, Michael Sommer got 2nd, and Adam 3rd. Seppl took the 8th spot and was stoked he could ride the final!
Everybody went for a nice dinner on the beach satursday night followed by a cool party. I went to bed pretty early actually! Following morning, same shit, Beach, English breakfast, sunbathing, Final of the contest! so cool. The format of the final was battle. The format is a lil weird cause even if you loose your battle, you have a chance to pass through... 2 times! Michael Sommer lost his 2 first battle against Adam Kun but made it to the semi final. Adam won his two first battle, Daniel Furhman lost his first battle against me and I won my two first battle. The semi final was a 4 man battle (Daniel, Adam, Michi and I). It was very tight between Michael and Adam actually but Michael made it so did I.
It was the first time I had to batlle agaisnt Michael. I tried a new backwheel combo and missed it, and I missed few others things while he pulled all his combo including a banger a the end. There we go Michael won! Deserved! Congrats!
At night I went with the german crew to a restaurant. The owner could talk 6 language including (German with Frank-Myla-Wasstle-Matti-Benni, French with Lionel-Maelle-me, English with some random dudes, Spanish with Camillo, Portuguese and Italian) ahahah and he was actually a pretty good cooker! Props!
I went to bed cuz I had my flight pretty early in the morning... That's pretty much it!
Big thanks to the Field Control Crew for putting up this great event every years and I hope to see more riders support it next year!

I just checked the news, I'm nominated for NORA Cup This Year along with Hiro Morisake, Dane Beardsley, Waldemar Fatkin and Terry Adams.
My Vote went to Ucchie! Where the fuck is he in the list? Whatever, I'll try to make it to Vegas but since I'm not 21 I'm fucked ahaha... Let's see what happens!

Red Bull Flow Combo Report!

It was the first time I was heading to a contest to "chill". A few weeks ago Alex was taught he had to judge this-only German-contest so he asked me if I was motivated to come! Of course I was so here we go on the road again with Alex, Elodie, and Alex Truck!
We saw some weird stuff on our way to Koblenz. There was one caravan dude who fucked up at the motorway fee station and didn't make it under the bareer? ahaha
We finally arrived to Koblenz in the satursday afternoon and checked the spot. It looked awesome. located on the "Deutsches Eck", A well builded wooden floor (finally) with all the Red Bull Goodies you can expect (Event Car, Tents, Drinks...).
We went to a shop with elodie because I wanted my hair to get blond so we bought a coloration. We found out at night that my hair are way too dark to get blond so I'm now officialy orange... ahahah
Well, of course we partied at night and It was cool! I met some cool german girls and chilled with Sebastien Grubinger and Tom from Sevisual.
Sunday was the contest day: Cool concept because it was a battle between the 16 "landern" from Germany: 16 Team of Two riders Battling each others... Eventho it rained a bit during the afternoon, everything went perfect. Good level of riding, cheering crowd... The final battle was the Berlin team (Matti Rose-Camillo) against the locals Rheinland Pfalz team (Waldemar Fatkin-Franck Lucas). Holy shit that was tight! but Matti is definitely on the top again so they end up winning the contest!
Congrats! They won a trip to Japan to enter KOG next October!
Big up To Red Bull and Franck Lucas-Andy Zeiss and Co to organise good national event like this, It only can be positive for the future of the Flatland German scene! PROST!

C'était la première fois que j'allais à un contest pour "chiller". En effet le contest était -Germany Only-Bref, Alex devait juger le contest donc quelques semaine plus tot il m'avait demandé si je voulais venir à Koblenz avec lui.
Nous voila donc Parti Alex, Elodie et le truck direction l'Allemagne.
On a vu un truc un peu foufou sur la route puique un type en caravane n'a pas fait gaffe à la hauteur de la barrière à la station de péage et a tout embarqué. aahaha
On arrive finalement à Koblenz (sans casser de barrière de péage) dans l'après midi. On va Checker un coup le spot. C'est assez dingue niveau location, puisque c'est au milieu du "Deutsches Eck", qui est la réunion du Rhin et de la Somme il me semble. Un beau spot aussi, une estrade en bois très bien posé (pour une fois) ainsi que tout les trucs cool de chez Red Bull (l'event DJ car, des tentes, des boissons et bouffe gratuite); cool.
On se balance avec Elodie au supermarché, je voulais me faire Blond pour le week end , donc on achéte une coloration. Sauf que mes cheuveux sont bien trop foncé pour faire un beau blond, donc je suis officiellement Roux...
Le soir, soirée bien sur et belle rencontre avec des jolies Allemande. je fais la soirée avec Sebastien Grubinger et Tom Sevisual qui sont deux bon potes de dance floor.
Le lendemain Dimanche, Contest. Concept interessent: c'était une battle entre les 16 "Landern" Allemand. 16 team de 2 riders qui s'affrontaient en Battle One to One. Il a un peu plu l'après midi mais rien de grave.
La finale oppose l'équipe de Berlin (Matti Rose-Camillo) et les locaux de Rheinland Pfalz (Waldemar Fatkin-Franck Lucas). C'est finalement Berlin qui l'emporte mais Boudiouuuh c'était serré. Matti est vraiment revenu au top de son niveau et c'est ça qui a tous changé.
Félicitations, ils gagnent un voyage au japon pour participer au KOG en Octobre.
Un gros Big Up à Red Bull, Franck Lucas-Andy Zeiss and Co pour organiser des bons événements nationaux comme celui la! ça ne peux que aider la scene Flat Allemande! Prost!

What's Up?

This week has been once again reaaaally busy but it's cool!
I went to the Koxx mother house in the suburb of Paris to design new parts and check out the new prototype. We have some seats, handlebars and a brand new stem comming out! ahahaha
I finished filming for my Red Bull Portrait with Sport+ at American car city garage! riding in the middle of American cars with Alex was so good! Alex also bought a new car this day... ahaha A brand new Dodge RAM. It will be helpful to go on trips!
I shot photos and videos with Hadrien Picard from SOUL for my upcomming Video-magazine Interview!
And of course I rode everyday!
I think That's it! Ohh yes, Yesterday, it was the VANS Apéro time! Yeahhh

La fin de semaine à été encore une fois très occupe!
Je suis allé chez Koxx à Coulommiers histoire de dessiner des nouvelles pièces et de voir ce qu'il se passe avec les nouvelles. On a des proto de selles, de Guidon et de potence qui arrive!!
J'ai aussi fini de filmer pour mon portrait pour Red Bull et Sport + au garage "American car city". C'était bien foufou de rouler entre des voitures Ricaines. Alex en a profité pour acheter un DODGE RAM presque tout neuf histoire d'être tranquilou quand on part en trip!
J'ai aussi shooter en photos et videos avec Hadrien Picard de Chez SOUL!
Et bien sur de la byciclette tout les jours...
C'est tout Il me semble. Ah si, hier, apéro VANS terrible!

Week end!

I just had a BUSY week end!
A big TV Team was following me all the week end long to film a portrait of me for Red Bull and Sport+, It was pretty crazy since they had the last filming Technology with them: Two Numeric Cinema Cam on a crane, one Canon 5D Mark II to put on my bar! ahaha and the list goes on. The pictures are just crazy! It's like Spielberg You know! ahaha
We have been filming at my Backyard spot at my parents place, in Paris... You have to check it out when It comes out cause It's will be awesome.
Satursday night there were the main party of the trade show "Who's next", and It was organised by Kwett (Cream Bmx magazine). There were a Bunny-hop contest (1m20 for Shelter Doe aaaaaaa), a fixed gear race (Creams into fixies...), and a Bmx flatland show! Free drinks, a girl from Reikjavik? ahaha pretty wild!

Je me suis bien occupé ce week end :)
Une équipe télé m'a suivi tous le week end pour filmer un potrait de moi destiné à Red Bull et à Sport+ C'était bien fou puisqu'ils avaient le tout dernier matériel en matière de technologie. 2 caméra Numerique cinéma, une grue de Travelling, un Canon 5D Mark II pour la caméra embarqué! ahahha et la liste est longue! Les images sont justes ouf! Un peu comme Spielberg t'a vu :) On a shooté dans pleins dendroit différent comme mon spot chez mes parents, Paris bien sur... Vous devez voir ce reportage quand ça sort parceque ça va être FAT!
Le samedi soir, l'apéro du Who's Next (le salon du prêt à porter à Paris) organisé par Kwett de chez Cream. du Bunny-Hop contest (1m20 pour Shelter Doe! aaaaaaa) de la course de Pignon Fixe, des démos de Flat... un open Bar, une fille de Reikjavik, du bon quoi!
