Les Vibrations Urbaines ont eu lieu ce week end à Pessac.
C'est un grand rassemblement de cette fameuse "culture urbaine" que tout le monde nous envie. ou pas
Ce week end il y'avait entre autre un contest de BMX Park, Dirt et Flat.
Je récupère Adam à Orly le Mercredi, riding jusqu'au Vendredi, jour du départ pour Pessac dans la GROSSE voiture du Jumelin.
On arrive à Lacanau Océan vers 2 heures du mat et le Raph Chiquet nous embrigade dans une boite locale. Vu qu'il y'avait 5 personnes dedans et que j'étais malade, on va se coucher (à part Raph bien sur).
Je passe une sale nuit façon fièvre et crise de toux, mais reveil face à l'Océan quand même, petit dèj et zouu direction la compète.
On voit tous les copains du dirt, du street, du flat. La famille comme dirait la machine. Le flat est prévu pour la soirée donc je chille un peu en regardant les copains rouler. Patoche fume les qualifs dirt, Saumon fume les qualifs street, et moi je fume rien du tout j'ai la crève. 21h, la salle Bellegrave se remplit, ça va être a finale flat, ça sent le chaud. Manu à eu la bonne idée de faire des batlles façon "choisit ton adversaire" comme à Amsterdam ce qui a pimentée la compète.
On a pu remarquer
-La Battle mythique entre Joris et Raph, que Raph à pas dominé mais a fini par gagner à la mort subite.
-Jean Buhlon qui a fait ce qu'il a pu face à un Adam au plus haut de sa forme.
-un super moment entre Alexis Desolneux et Alex Jumelin, les 2 ont super bien roulé.
-un Charles Paty 6 ème pour sa première compète en pro! Bravo mec!
et enfin la battle finale. Je me retrouve contre Adam qui avait VRAIMENT bouffé du Lyon, c'est simple il n'a pas mis un pied de la soirée. On a tous les deux super bien roulé, et ça c'est décidé au best tricks. Il fait Bunnyhop Decade Pedal-Pedal et je fait megaspin demi whip to Steam roller. Le public était on fire nottament Grace au Geon et à Pascal qui ont tout donné au micro, ça faisait vraiment chaud au coeur puisque il y avait 90 pour cent de Streeteurs dans le public. Les riders et le public votent, je gagne le contest! vraiment cool
La soirée qui s'en suit n'est pas moins mémorable que le contest. le DJ est une TUERIE (champion du monde DMC), la bière est pas cher, il y'a des gamines de 16 ans déguisé en lapin, il y'a tous les copains... Pouaaah.
Retour vers Lacanau tôt le matin. Retour à Pessac pour dire au revoir à tous le monde et on réembrait vers Paris! un Week end très physique!!!
Un grand merci aux organisateurs, à Alex Jumelin qui à conduit, ridé, fait le con tout le week end, et à Red Bull pour les Red Bull shots qui m'ont sauvé le contest. j'étais dans un piteux état 1 h avant... La grippe A! ahaha
The Vibrations Urbaines took place this week end in Pessac!
It's a big Festival that showcase sports as skateboard, Bmx, and concert of every kind.
This week end there was Bmx Park,Dirt and Flatland Contest.
I pick up Adam at Paris Orly Airport on friday, We ride till Friday where we leave to Pessac (south of France)
We arrive in Lacanau Ocean at 2 a:m(Atlantic Ocean town) where Raphael Chiquet is waiting for us. He bring us to some clubs but since there were only 5 people in and I was pretty sick, we went to the hotel (except raph of course).
I had the worst night of my life (fever, headaches.... )but I woke up in front of the Ocean in the Morning, had a good breakfast so It was better! We went to the contest place. It was so coo because we met all our street and dirt rider friends! along with Flatland posse.
Flatland is at night so I just chill around watching my friend ride. Patrick Guimez kills the dirt course and JB Peytavit Kills the street qualifications. I don't kill anything since i'm dead from sickness.
9p:m, the flatland spot is packed, the final is about to start. It was batlle, but a special format, you could pick the rider you wanted to battle with! (like in Flatground back in the days).
Highlights were
-The backwheel battle between Joris Bretagnolle and Raphael Chiquet. They finished with a best tricks because nobody could tell who was the winner... Raph finally won
-Jean Buhlon who gave his best against one Adam Kun on Fire!!
-A great moment between Alexis Desolneux and Alex Jumelin. Both of them rode super well!
-Charles' Paty first pro contest. 6th Place! Congrats bro.
and finally, the final battle between me and Adam who, I guess, ate something special during this week end because he didn't put any foot on the ground during the final! Both of us pulled all our hardest combo so there was a best tricks to determine who wins. Adam pulled his Bunnyhop decade Pedal Pedal and I pull a Megaspin half whip to steam roller. The crowd was on fire! and It was so cool to see since 90 percent of it was street and dirt riders! Riders and crowd voted, I won! super cool!
The party that followed was super wild as well, the DJ was sick (DMC world champion), Cheap beers, 16 years old girls dressed like Rabbit, friends...
We came back to lacanau Late in the morning, had a breakfast, came back to Pessac to say bye bye and straight to Paris: Hard week end!
Thanks to the organisators, to Alex Jumelin who drove, party, rode all week end long, and Red Bull for their new Red Bull shot, they saved my contest, I was dead! Swine Flu? ahah
