Sometimes You find a Slipery spot...

...and You think It's god damn impossible to ride.
Well here is the story.
Usually I have a super cool indoor spot during the year, but it's closed during holidays. So I'm kinda fucked to practice with the shitty weather.
I have good contact with the town hall of my home town so They gave me the key for a new spot. I went there last wednesday, Everything worked fine (Light, heating, roof) but the floor. OMG It was terrible, I couldn't event do a U Turn without slipping! You know what I mean. I was really disapointed! BUT I remember one thing: The magicflart (this contest in Colombia) took place in a mall, and the floor was slipery as hell there too. To avoid this problem, they put some "white powder" on the floor, and 10 Min after it was grippy as hell. They called it "Magic powder", I thought It was cocaine at first, but It would have been too expensive! ahaha. It was actually Magnesium (you know they use it for climbing, gymnastic, musculation...). I went to the first sport shop that came to my mind, bought some (10 euros for a bunch of it), went to my spot with a brush and started putting it everywhere. 10 minutes after, when you have a white strip on your tire and the floor is white, It was grippy as fuck!! I tell you, a fucking miracle!
If you don't believe it , go to your local sport shop, Ask for Magnesium. It takes 1 hour of your day but it actualy makes it!
I don't tell you that for you to be nauseated because I have a super cool indoor spot now. I think It's the best cheapest solution for contest or shows, when the floor is slipery (Toronto contest for example), to make riders happy.
There is only ONE side effect, you are all white after a session, who cares, your mommy is doing the laundry.

Parfois, vous trouvez un nouveau spot, couvert, chanmé, mais putain le sol est horriblement glissant. Vous renoncez? Nan! voila la solution.
Pour faire vite, d'habitude j'ai un spot couvert super cool pendant l'année mais c'est fermé pendant les vacances. Vu la météo en ce moment, c'est impossible de rouler dehors. Après quelques coups de téléphone, me voila avec les clés d'un nouveau spot couvert (merci Papa). Je vais checker, tout a l'air cool, le toit, la lumiere, le chauffage, la je prend mon vélo, et au moment de faire un virage, ça part de l'arriére, cassage de bouche etc etc. Vous l'aurez compris, autant rouler sur une patinoire!
Mais c'est con d'avoir un super spot sans pouvoir le rouler, et la BING l'idée qui me revient. En Colombie, Il y'a un contest (le MagicFlart) qui se passe dans un centre commercial, et le spot était super glissant aussi. Les organisateurs avaient alors mis de la poudre blanche un peu partout et m'avais dit que c'était de la "magic powder". De la Coc? nan,ça aurait été vachement trop cher, en faite 10 min après, Vous avez cette poudre qui fait une pellicule sur le pneu, et ça accroche a mort.
Cette poudre c'est tout bettement de la Magnesie.Normalement On en utilise pour l'escalade, la muscu, la gym... Je suis parti au decathlon le plus proche, 1 heure plus tard j'étais au spot en train d'en étaler un peu partout, 10 min plus tard ça accrochait comme sur du béton.
Bref, pour faire court, ça coute 10 euros et ça vous sauve la vie.
Je dis pas ça dans le vent, ça pourrais sauver taquet de contest et de démo avec des sols glissant. Allez essayer un coup, c'est satisfait ou satisfait.
